THE RUTLEDGE ST FORGE
The work
I love to create pieces that have great meaning, symbolism and beauty to my clients. I draw a lot of influence from the organic shapes in nature and love to capture them with hot steel. Of course, sometimes I like to experiment simply for the pure enjoyment of the creative process itself. In these times I like to stretch the bounds of what’s possible.
You can view some of my work below, and please feel free to contact me for commissioned pieces! I’d love to create something unique to you.

about the forge
Meet Elliott
I’ve always been fascinated by how things were made and how much effort some pieces must have taken back in the day to create the things we don’t even see. For example, the hand-cut teeth in a small clock or the hand-filed lever on an old lathe.
Most of the time I see something in nature and can’t help but wonder what it would be like to try and replicate it using steel. This can be native australian seed pods or a garden variety rose.
